Fraghouse Invasion features a ton of new monsters to make gameplay more interesting. Rather than the standard Unreal set of creatures, you will be faced against ghosts, human mutations, snipers, mechanical spiders and many more monsters! Here's a list of all of them:
Ghost - You won't see these guys until it's too late. If you have sharp eyesight, you will be able to make out their outlines against the rest of the map. They fly around the map and will hone in on players. You can keep an eye on them with your radar, but you'll have to keep your wits about you at all times. Guardian - A batch series of green robots programmed to destroy the humans - their creators. They carry rocket launchers and will dodge your attacks without hesitation. Ictus - The Skaarj just grew wings. A mutation of the Skaarj, the Ictus can fly around the map and will fire very, very fast rockets at you. They do not do large amounts of damage in single form, but when you get 3 or 4 of these beasts firing them at you, you're in trouble.. Maphorus - You hate the Manta, right? Those annoying things that flew around in the air and pissed you off to no end? Well, meet the Manta's red-blooded cousin, the Maphorus - twice as fast, twice as deadly. Hope you packed your running boots. Sandman - Risen from the ancient tombs of Egypt, these guys are fast, ugly and.. er.. coated in bright sand. I don't think the gritty atmosphere of being around the other monsters has quite rubbed off on them yet. In any case, these sandmen will quite happily rush up to you and tear you apart. Shock Soldier - The Shock Soldier's name gives it all away, really. This soldier carries a shock rifle and is fairly deadly with it.. you won't even live on the highest difficulty setting! Skeleton - Before you ask, no, these guys aren't sexually depressed like the other variants available. Instead, they come from the old-school motto of "We don't need no stinking guns." Solid Shot - Half of your frustration will come from these dudes - accurate soldiers carrying lightning guns. It's advisable to take them out first if you don't want the trouble of them shooting at you when you're also being assaulted by tons of Troggs, Skeletons and Zombies. Spider - Flesh is a design flaw, apparently - so no more pupae! Instead, you get mechanical critters that are just as powerful.. and then some. Trogg - A fist-fighting Skaarj, incredibly fast on its feet. Spammy weapons are recommended against multiple incarnations of them! Werebeast - A mutated Hellion! Another melee fighter, but by the time you get so close to examine its horribly mutated facial features, you'll be dead. Zombie - Not as slow as your average zombie. Another melee fighter that adds to the collection of monsters rushing into yoru base.
Here is a list of all the boss monsters too (the boss monsters can be found on the final wave of maps prefixed with BOSS - have fun with them!)
Butcher - You thought Warlords were bad? How about a variant 5x the size that fires redeemer shells? Now that's bad! Fire Warrior - An absolutely huge boss that fires very fast-moving fireballs. This guy is rather thick, so he won't immediately attack you, but watch out when he does - he'll keep you on your toes. Hell Raiser - A large robot programmed for mass destruction and nothing else. It wields a Howitzer - howzat (ha!) for instant death? Nepolia - Don't annoy this Queen Spider! She'll fire her deadly spores at you, so don't get too close. Actually, don't get close anyway, because she'll also happily rip you apart. Rhagjar - A big electrical spider that fires out blue bolts of plasma. Some people will notice a similarity to Doom - which was one of the inspirations. This spider doesn't like being shot at either. Even if it isn't firing at you, be careful because once it decimates its targeted victim it may focus on you next.
