The toolbar Print


This is the toolbar of TodoPlus and these are icons for most used features.
The toolbar has been added to this software instead of a traditional menu because it improves the usability.
Short descriptions are shown in the software when you move the mouse pointer above each of these toolbar icons.
These descriptions are listed here including additional information on how each tool works.
You may access the toolbar using the mouse, the TAB-key and keyboard shortcuts.

Create new plan (Cmd + N)
  This creates a new empty plan.
Open file / Import file (Cmd + O)
  Here you can open files created with TodoPlus.
You can also import text files.
If you place your mouse pointer above this icon and do not click the mouse button, then a popup will appear within a few seconds with a list of the 10 recently opened files.
Save file (Cmd + S)
  Quick save of the currently opened file
Save file as .. (Cmd + Shift + S)
  Save the currently opened file with a new filename.
Import / Export task (Ctrl + K)
  When you click this icon the following menu is shown:

Import text file
Import comma or semicolon-separated file (.csv)
Import TodoPlus example
Import TodoPlus-file into the current plan

Export all tasks as a text file
Export all tasks as an html file with bulletpoints
Export all tasks as an html file with graphics
-
Export selected task as a text file
Export selected task as an html file with bulletpoints
Export selected task as an html file with graphics
Export selected task as a separate TodoPlus-file

The task
  When you click this icon the following menu is shown:

Edit task text (Space)
Change task importance (F2)
Mark/unmark task as completed (F3)
Delete task (Delete)

Show in internet browser (Cmd + G)
  When you click the help-icon the following help menu is shown:

Show all (html)
Show all (html with graphics)
Show selected task (html)
Show selected task (html with graphics)


Use this option if you want to transfer your plan to other software like a texteditor, wordprocessor, a website editor etc. You can choose to show the whole plan or just the selected task (and sub-tasks).
Remember that the filters are also used. However all folders are expanded, except those that the filters have hidden.
Print (Cmd + P)
  When you click this icon the following menu is shown:

Print all as html-text
Print all as html-text with graphics
Print selected task as html-text
Print selected task as html-text with graphics


Use this option if you want to print your plan.
You can choose to print the whole plan or just the selected task (and sub-tasks).
Remember that the currently selected filters are used, just like what is on the screen. However all folders are expanded, except those that the filters have hidden.
Home (Home)
  This moves the marker to the title task one page 1 of the plan.
Collapse all folders (F4)
  All folders are closed. This is a good option if you want to have an overview of a plan.
Expand all folders (Cmd + F4)
  All folders are expanded/opened - except those that the filters have hidden.
Search
 

When you click this icon the following menu is shown:

Find (Cmd + F) *
Find next (Cmd + Shift + F)
Find and replace (Cmd + R)
Unmark search results (Cmd + Option + F)

* Found tasks are marked with blue text. You can unmark search results by pressen (Shift + F)

Add task after (Return/Enter)
  This adds a task one step after the current position. A task that you want to do AFTER the currently selected task has been completed.
Add task before (Shift + Return/Enter)
  This adds a task one step before the current position. A task you want to have completed BEFORE you do the currently selected task.
Add sub-task (Cmd + Return/Enter)
  This adds a sub-task to the currently selected task.
Move task one level up (Cmd + Arrow left)
  When a task is moved one level up it is no longer a sub-task of the same task anymore, but instead it is placed right after.
Move task one level down (Cmd + Arrow right)
  When a task is moved one level down is now becomes a sub-task of the task which is just above.
Move task one step up (Cmd + Arrow up)
  Do the task sooner.
Move task one step down (Cmd + Arrow down)
  Do the task later.
Cut/Delete task (Cmd + X)
Copy task (Cmd + C)
Paste task (Cmd + V)
Paste external text as new tasks (Cmd + Shift + V)
  If you want to copy a checklist from the internet or your text editor you can use this tool to automatically create tasks for each of the tasks/lines of the checklist.
Try it out.
Undo (Cmd + Z)
  The latest edit can be reversed. In case you accidentially deleted something. The undo remembers one step back.
Help (F1)
 

When you click the help-icon the following help menu is shown:

Change font
  This is very useful for people who are from countries that use unicode fonts.
Change font size
  Adjust the font size so it pleases your eyes.
By reducing the font size you see more text, which can improve overview.
Password for this file
  Each file can be protected with a password.
   
Show/Hide unimportant tasks (Cmd + 1)
  This is a filter that can hide unimportant tasks, so you can focus on the most important tasks first and hereby get more results. Often an unimportant tasks does not have to be completed in order to achieve a goal.
Show/Hide finished tasks (Cmd + 2)
  This is a filter that can hide tasks that you have already completed, so you can reduce information overload and focus on now.
