Important Notes

Remove SaveToDB 4.1 or below before installing SaveToDB.

SaveToDB can be installed for all users. Administrator privileges are required.

The installation folder is being added to the PATH environment variable.

Logoff and logon once before the first use of the gsqlcmd or gwebcmd command line utility.
It is required to reload the PATH environment variable.

Open CHM help files only from local drives, not from network paths.
Opening the CHM files from the network paths is not supported by Windows.

If the CHM does not show contents, open the file properties and click the "Unblock" button on the General tab.

Quick Start

  1. Close Microsoft Excel.
  2. Install SaveToDB.
  3. Open Microsoft Excel. You should see the SaveToDB tab.
  4. Close Microsoft Excel. Logoff and logon.
  5. Try interesting examples for Web, SQL Server, or SQL Server Compact.
    Just open workbooks and try interesting actions.

Installing and Uninstalling

Installing SaveToDB

To install the SaveToDB, close Microsoft Excel, if opened, and run setup.exe.

Updating SaveToDB

Remove the previous SaveToDB installation before installing SaveToDB
if the previous version has number 4.1 or below.

If the SaveToDB 4.2 or higher installed, just install the new version.

Uninstalling SaveToDB

To uninstall the SaveToDB:

Use this file to install products if the required prerequisite components are already installed on the computer.
