When PhotoPackage is calculating the layout of prints in a document, the default behavior is to place each unique pose on its own set of sheets. For example, a document with two poses of four Wallets each, printed on an 8 x 10 sheet would yield two printed sheets:
Clearly there is a fair amount of waste on each of the sheets in this scenario. If there is no need to explicitly segregate the poses in your document, then you can allow the poses to be intermixed throughout the layout. To do so, uncheck the Keep poses separated checkbox in the document’s settings pane:
PhotoPackage will recalculate the layout, this time allowing more than one pose to be on any sheet and yielding a much more efficient result of just one printed sheet with very little waste:
Note that there is a tradeoff in allowing poses to intermix in a layout: calculation time. The process of finding the most efficient layout possible can take much longer to complete, especially if your document has many poses with a large quantity of print and bundle assignments.
Changing the Default Behavior
To have all newly-created documents allow the intermixing of poses by default, open the Preferences window and select the Document panel. Then uncheck the Keep poses separated checkbox.
Even if the default behavior is changed in the preferences, each document can still have its setting independently changed at any time.
