MacPermitWizard Permissions Configuration |
MacPermitWizard allows user to review and edit the permissions list to control access to files, folders and applications. The permissions list windowThe view left panel shows the permissions categories. MacPermitWizard supports Global and User set of permissions. A global permission can only be created and managed by the system administrator, as it holds valid for all users on a computer. A user permission is more flexible, as it can be created by anyone, but only limits access to files or folders within a user's account alone. The view right panel shows the permissions list.It has the following columns:
Editing an existing permissionTo modify an existing permission select the relevant permissions category from the categories list panel, and locate the permission, you would like to edit. In order to edit the permission, do one of the following:
In either case a Permission edit dialog will show up where the user can set up File/Directory read, write, execute, delete access attributes After Permission have been updated close a Permission edit dialog. After all required changes have been made save the Permissions list by doing one of the following:

After permission attributes have been updated close a Permission edit dialog and when all new permissions have been added save the permissions list by doing one of the following:
Delete PermissionTo delete an existing permission select the permission from the permissions list panel and do one of the following:
